Juventus coach Antonio Conte won’t be part of the coaching staff for Juventus’ Champion League run after FIFA decided to extend his ban to worldwide status.

Conte lead the squad to the Scudetto last season after they had been in Serie B only a couple seasons prior.

The ban “covers all types of matches, including domestic, international, friendly and official fixtures,” FIFA said in a statement.

The former midfielder has attempted to get his ban overturned by the National Arbitration Tribunal for Sport in Italy after being accused of withholding match fixing information concerning his team and Siena.

Conte’s ban is currently at 10 months but Juventus have started well without the presence of their head coach. The Old Lady will look to continue her quality start against Chelsea under Massimo Carrera.
