Stephan Lichtsteiner has Champions League glory in his sights following last term’s Scudetto success with Juventus.

The Turin club return to Europe’s top club competition this season and the Swiss defender is hoping to add further silverware to last seasons title triumph.

“Juventus are one of the most important clubs in the world and I’m very happy there,” said the right-back.

“We have a really strong squad and joining this team was the right decision for me because I wanted to win.

“We won the League last term, but that still isn’t the maximum for me – I want the Champions League.”

The 28 year old has made 43 appearances for Juve since his €10.5 million move from Lazio in 2011.

The Old Lady have been drawn in Group E alongside Chelsea, Shakhtar Donetsk and Nordsjaelland. Their European campaign begins with an away trip to Stamford Bridge on September 19.
