Napoli’s three deadline day signings have all spoken together for the first time since joining the club.

Giandomenico Mesto, Bruno Uvini and Omar El Kaddouri all arrived at the club and are all excited by the challenge ahead.

Mesto, who joined from Genoa, is delighted to once more be playing under Walter Mazzarri who managed him at Reggina, saying: “After six years, I have found the same Mazzarri who was at Reggina and who leaves nothing to chance and will add another element to my career at a prestigious club.”

Uvini has told reporters that he has learned a lot from talking to Thiago Silva who, of course, starred in Serie A with AC Milan.

He said: “Thiago told me that I will learn a great deal here and although I hear I have been compared with Lucio and this flatters me, I will show my own characteristics and I will be ready when called upon.”

El Kaddouri was linked with both Milan clubs and Juventus before eventually joining from Brescia but was quick to dismiss comparisons with some of the greats.

“Do not discuss me as being like Zinedine Zidane and Marek Hamsik because I am young and will need time to show my qualities,” he said. “It is going to be a long season with many games and I am sure everyone will get a chance and I hope to take my chances.”
