AC Milan have been handed an €8,000 fine for banners held up at Sunday’s derby match with Inter, mocking Antonio Cassano’s heart problems.
The former Rossoneri striker suffered a mini stroke last year after a match with Roma, meaning he missed most of the season, but moved to rivals Inter this summer, much to the ire of Milan supporters.
Rossoneri fans held up a banner at the match which said ‘Cassano play with heart’.
There was also another sign on display which read, ‘Cassano, we want our defibrilator back’.
