AC Milan’s sporting director Umberto Gandini has rejected talks of Rossoneri president Silvio Berlusconi departing the club.

The Rossoneri find themselves in huge financial crisis of late and it has been reported that they were in negotiations to sell a portion of its shares to Qatari or Russian shareholders.

“I do not have permission to use a crystal ball, so I cannot say anything,” he stated during a press conference.

“But I do not think Berlusconi will leave. The rest of Europe is going through a major [economic] crisis so even the shareholders are feeling [the ramifications].

Gandini also felt the Milan supremo wouldn’t depart from his role at the club,

“I think Berlusconi is one of the best presidents around and I’m pretty sure that he, his family, and the company will continue to support AC Milan.”

The former Italian Prime Minister has listed the club on the stock exchange indicating that the club are in need for heavy funds, persistent rumours suggest the club need foreign investors to buy a portion of its shares and boost the income of the struggling club.

Berlusconi is the most successful president of a football club and has owned Milan since he brought them from brink of bankruptcy in 1986, Milan fans are hoping the president will invest more into the club as they are currently toiling in Serie A.
