Inter striker Antonio Cassano has revealed that he has snubbed Juventus on three separate occasions.

Speaking on Rai Tre, Cassano told Fabio Fazio that he didn’t want to make the move to Juventus when they pressed him in the past.

“I refused Juve three times,” he said.

“They wanted me there to be a toy soldier, and I have to do what I want.”

When asked about how his time at the Nerazzurri is going, Cassano seemed content with his decision.

“It’s going very well.  While at the Nerazzurri, the desire to play came back to me after I had the risk of death because of heart problems.  After you see things in a certain way you become more responsible.”

The 30-year-old also spoke about the missed call-up by the national team.

“I am hoping until the last minute to go to the world cup.

“The only thing that bothers me is that my missed call-up became known by the press, and I was the last to find out.”

Cassano has scored four goals in seven starts for Inter this season after arriving from AC Milan.
