Genoa man Bosko Jankovic has spoken about his feelings after being given the captain’s armband in the absence of regular captain Marco Rossi.

Rossi has had to give up his captaincy having appeared in just one game so far this season as a substitute.

“I’m extremely proud of it,” Jankovic said in a press conference on Wednesday.

“Seeing that I’m a foreign player in such a storied team as Genoa, it’s a real delight.”

The Serbian international also took the time to speak about Genoa’s next match against Roma this Sunday.

“The next match will be very important as we are playing against Roma.

“Therefore, we must work on possessing the ball well, and controlling the game with more tranquility.”

The midfielder and attacker has played in five games for Genoa this season, scoring one goal.

Genoa sit ninth in the table after having had a decent start to the season.
