Come January, Juventus could be looking for someone to fill in for summer acquisition Kwadwo Asamoah.

Asamoah will be playing for Ghana in the African Cup of Nations, and will be missing from the Bianconeri roster for about a month in the winter.

Manager Antonio Conte cannot afford to lose one of his starters for that amount of time, and it is rumored that Juventus may be evaluating their options, and could be looking to obtain the services of 25-year-old Pablo Armero from Udinese.

It is not definite that Asamoah will be missing from January 19th until February 10th, but it would not be wise to assume Ghana will go out early.

The ex-Udinese player has fit in perfectly with Juventus’ system, and losing him for a month is an agonizing prospect seeing that since the summer his role has changed.  Originally acquired as a replacement for Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal, Asamoah has become a regular on the left side in the five man midfield.

In the past couple of months, there have been small negotiations with Udinese about Armero, but the Bianconeri will likely base their decision on the performances of a few players, namely Paolo De Ceglie, Emanuele Giaccherini, and Martin Caceres.  It’s not to be forgotten that Juventus have also been linked with Atalanta back Federico Peluso.

It will be interesting to see where Armero will go in January, as Napoli are also linked with the Colombian.
