Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic has made it clear that over the past three games the Bianconeri have shown strong character.

There was a great 4-1 win over Roma, a disappointing 1-1 draw with Shakhtar Donetsk, and a fortunate 2-1 victory against Siena.

The Montenegrin striker is content with the season, although he believes the level of play can be increased.

Vucinic assessed the past three matches on his personal website.

“One week, three games, three different assessments,” he wrote.

“Against Roma we played a perfect first half, playing at a very high level.

“In our home debut for the Champions League we never surrendered, even after giving up a goal.

“On Sunday in Siena we fought until the end for a key victory.

“A great squad must know how to suffer, fight, and win in order to aim high and demonstrate strong character.

“Now, for the break I’ll be with Montenegro.  We’ll see each other on the 20th for the match against Napoli.”

Juventus remain unbeated in 46 league games, and their next match against Napoli will be decisive.  Both teams sit at the top of the table on 19 points apiece.

The Bianconeri sit in third position in their Champions League group after two draws.

Vucinic and Montenegro will face Ukraine in Kyiv on October 16th in their World Cup qualifying match.
