Napoli fans expressed their displeasure at the team’s performance on Thursday night by refusing to accept the players’ shirts at the end of the game.
Napoli were defeated 3-1 by Dnipro in what was another abysmal display in the Europa League.
With just 160 Partenopei fans making the trip to Ukraine, the players tried to throw their shirts to the travelling support in a gesture of appreciation, but the fans made their displeasure known and refused to accept the jerseys.
Walter Mazzarri and the club have been criticised for not taking the Europa League seriously and fielding a second string side in all of their matches in the competition thus far.
