President of Parma Tommaso Ghirardi has made it clear that he intends to renew a contract with manager Roberto Donadoni.
Donadoni signed with Parma in January of 2012, and he helped the team out of the relegation zone to finish eighth in the table.
In an interview with Sky Sport, Ghirardi spoke about his plans to renew with a contract with Donadoni.
“With Donadoni, there is a will to extend his contract, and also a will to remain with us,” he said.
“Now, all that is left is to talk about financial aspects and duration.
“We are proud that we will be able to announce the renewal of our manager next week.
“We are satisfied with the attitude of the team, a little less in the match against Catania. I didn’t like the way they played, but this didn’t hurt my rapport with Donadoni.”
After the international break, Parma will take on Sampdoria. They are currently 15th in the table on three draws and two defeats.
