Pescara coach Giovanni Stroppa has hailed Hernanes’ free kick that opened the scoring against his side as one which took the wind out of his side’s sails.

The Brazilian curled home a beautiful dead ball early on before Miroslav Klose grabbed two before the break to wrap up the points for the Biancocelesti.

He said: “Hernanes goal stunned us. Instead of giving us the desire to react, we found ourselves down against a team of great quality.

“We showed good character in the second half but were not quite at our best but the defence is not our problem.”

The Delfini’s defeat keeps them 13th in the Serie A standings.
