Parma have today won for the first time on the road this season, capitalising on the second half sending off of Gianluca Sansone before scoring three goals themselves in a 3-1 win. Nicola Sansone, Amauri and Aleandro Rosi got themselves on the scoresheet before a late consolation for Migjen Basha.

Torino were undoubtedly the better side in the opening moments of the game, particularly threatening down the right hand side and full-back Matteo Darmian.

Striker Riccardo Meggiorini had the first real chance of the match, as he volleyed goalwards from a tight angle, though his effort was parried away by veteran goalkeeper Nicola Pavarini.

Torino were still in the ascendency when Parma had the chance of the half, when Amauri somehow managed to miss an open goal having been played in by Jonathan Biabiany after a swift counter-attack.

Sotiris Ninis was the most lively member of the Parma midfield, and from his set piece Cristian Zaccardo went close just over five minutes later.

In the second half Torino went close early on as they had another bright start, with Gianluca Sansone’s close range effort stinging the hands of the solid Pavarini.

Just minutes later Sansone was sent off controversially, accused of diving by the referee. It looked harsh, though he received a second yellow and was ejected.

Giampiero Ventura refused to let his side fall into a defensive shape, and threw on Alessio Cerci as they continued to chase an opening goal.

However, they paid the price for their offensive approach. Ex-Bayern youngster Nicola Sansone was brought on for captain Alessandro Lucarelli by Donadoni in an equally aggressive switch, and just minutes later he had scored.

It was only his second appearance for the first team, and already the Italian had a goal to his name. Parma scored again just a minute later, this time Amauri atoning for his miss in the first half with a goal, heading home a Marco Marchionni cross.

Parma were now in complete control, and full-back Aleandro Rosi added a third before Migjen Basha bundled in a consolation goal with the final kick of the game.
