AC Milan director Areido Braida has squashed reports that Brazilian striker Robinho is set to leave the Rossoneri in the January transfer window.

Brazilian club Santos have been interested in the 28-year-old since the summer, but Braida has denied that a transfer is imminent.

“Robinho to Santos in January? These rumours have been ongoing since last summer,” he told spaziomilan.it.

“These voices continue to gather steam, but it is important he does well with us at the moment.”

“Robinho is undoubtedly an important player whom we are missing right now.”

Braida also found time to comment on Massimiliano Allegri and the need to find a definitive formation for the Rossoneri.

“The manager is great, he knows what he has to do. Firstly, he must win and find a formation for the squad. We are waiting for that to happen as soon as possible.”
