Ajax starlet Christian Eriksen has admitted he would like to play his trade in Italy and has dismissed the notion of replacing Inter star Wesley Sneijder.

Rumours are circulating Inter see the hot prospect as a direct replacement if Sneijder leaves for Anzhi Makhachkala.

“I couldn’t replace him,”Eriksen told reporters. “I’m not a No 10. I know that a lot of clubs want me, but I am hearing the name of Inter for the first time.

“I’ll decide my future down the line, but it is not true that I just want to go and play in Spain. I’ll look at all the options from Italy, England and Spain.

“But before I leave Ajax I still want to win and that is what I am concentrating on.”

The attacking maestro is hot property as many European clubs are chasing for his signature when he does decide to leave Ajax, his contract expires on June 2014 so instead of losing him on a Bosman Ajax will probably sell the midfielder in the summer.
