Juventus coach Angelo Alessio was happy with the Bianconeri’s approach to the game as they cruised to a 6-1 victory over Pescara on Saturday night.

Juventus went into half-time leading 5-1, and Alessio praised the determination and vigour with which the squad played.

“We had the right approach to the match,” the acting Juve coach said after the game.

“We entered the field of play with determination and anger from the start. Our style of play is unconventional and unpredictable, and even the strikers were able to score today.

Andrea Pirlo picked up a yellow card which means he will miss the next match against Lazio, but Alessio gave no hints at who is set to replace the midfielder.

“The decision will be made by [Antonio] Conte. The players must continue on training and playing like this. We looked to control the match tonight just like we did in the Champions League match against Nordjsaelland. These are traits that set us apart last season.”

“Fabio Quagliarella scored three goals but there are no depth charts in this team. Conte always decided after looking at the opponent and whoever does better in training.”
