Juventus assistant coach Angelo Alessio was disappointed with his players following defeat against AC Milan, saying they did not play as a unit.

The Bianconeri were far from their best at San Siro and went down to a 1-0 defeat courtesy of a Robinho penalty.

He told the media afterwards: “When we do not play as a team then we will suffer and lose as we did.

“There was some fatigue following the Chelsea game even if games such as this the energy and motivation comes itself.”

Alessio was also left angered by the controversial award of the penalty for a perceived handball but managed to keep his emotions in check.

“I dare not imagine what would have happened if we had won a penalty like that but these things happen.”

It also seemed that he had an argument with Fabio Quagliarella after the striker was substituted, at which time he exchanged words with the coach with his mouth covered by his jacket.

“I did not think Fabio seemed angry when he was taken off,” said Alessio. “I would rather not talk about individuals tonight though because we played and lost as a team. We will accept this defeat and move on.”
