Reports surfaced that Alexis Sanchez could make a sensational return to the Serie A with Juventus in January but Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova was quick to quash these rumours.

A possible deal has been circulating in the air between the Spanish club and the Old Lady for the Chilean international, but the Vilanova has denied the reports claiming he hopes to work with the Barca striker for many seasons to come in La Liga.

“The boy is fine and still has a long contract,” he told ESPN Espana. “I hope that he continues to play here for a long time.”

Sanchez joined the Blaugrana in 2011 fetching a price tag of €26m, making an appearance in 56 games and scoring 16 goals so far this season.
