It seems that Napoli’s striker hunt may be at an end with Corriere dello Sport reporting that their main priority now is signing Cagliari forward Mauricio Pinilla.

Many players have been linked with the Partenopei as they look to strengthen their attack and fill the hole left by Ezequiel Lavezzi’s summer departure.

The 28-year-old has endured a turbulent time in Sardinia with good performances on the field, he hit eight goals in 14 games last season, being overshadowed by his attitude off it at times.

If the Rossoblu are unwilling to sell one of their star strikers, then Napoli will move for Lazio’s Sergio Floccari although they are not believed to be as keen on signing him as they are Pinilla.

They are also looking at Pescara midfielder Juan Quintero while the Delfini could also be set to raid the San Paolo side themselves with Eduardo Vargas looking set for a move to them in January.

Bruno Uvini and Omar El Kaddouri are also set to leave the club on loan deals during the winter mercato.
