Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva has pledged his allegiance to current club Lazio until June of 2014.

Il Timido, as he is often called, is co-owned by the Roman outifit and Udinese.

“I’m not going back to Udinese. Before I signed for Lazio in the summer, I spoke in secret with Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo”, he commented to Il Tempo.
“I went to Udine and told him that I no longer had any intention of playing for Udinese. I had to extend my contract with them until 2014 in order to facilitate my switch to Lazio.
I want to stay at Lazio until 2014 and that is what will happen. They know that at Udinese.”

Candreva, who has been on the fringes of the Italian national team set up, currently has 3 goals in 13 league games for the Biancocelesti this season.
