Roma are considering making a move for Brazilian striker Osvaldo, who has caught the eye of club scouts and who could sign in January.

Osvaldo Lourenco Filho, who plays for Sao Paolo in Brazil’s football championship, is obviously no relation to the current Giallorossi star Pablo but is also a dangerous goalscorer like his namesake.

The 25-year-old has had one previous spell in European football with Braga but disappointed and has since his 10 goals this season since joining Sao Paolo.

According to Globoesporte his agent Gilmar Veloz is currently in Italy and has scheduled a meeting with Roma director Franco Baldini about the possibility of bringing Osvaldo to Trigoria when the winter mercato opens.

Veloz told Repubblica.it: “Baldini is a good friend of mine and we will have a meeting to talk about this situation. He has followed the career of Osvaldo for a long time and there may be a formal proposal to see what will happen.”

The club will do their utmost to keep him though as they are already preparing for the January departure of Inter target Lucas Moura to Paris Saint Germain.
