Lazio’s Giuseppe Sculli has refused to to co-operate with investigators over the ongoing Calciosommesse investigation, according to Calciomercato.

The ex-Genoa man, who hit the headlines for his spat with ultras over the handing over of jerseys during his side’s heavy defeat at home to Siena last season, is being investigated over a game between the Grifoni and the Biancocelesti during May 2011.

That encounter ended in a 4-2 win for the capital club but was not enough to stop Lazio narrowly miss out on Champions League qualification, despite being level on points with Udinese.

Sculli’s lawyer said today: “We did not say anything. The reason we did not say anything is because it is our right.”

He has yet to appear on a football field this season despite enjoying a reasonably successful spell on loan at the Marassi last year scoring three times and supplying four assists.

Sculli was interrogated for 30 minutes regarding a possible betting scandal surrounding said fixture but opted to stay silent.
