Pescara are believed to be the favourites to sign unattached Spanish striker Koke when the transfer window reopens in January.

Although he is currently without a club, the Delfini would have to wait until the winter mercato to sign the 29-year-old.

He has been a free agent since leaving FC Baku last month after scoring twice in 10 appearances but did not fully settle there.

Pescara are hoping to add further quality and depth to their attack which is the worst in Serie A.

Giovanni Stroppa’s side have scored just six goals in their opening 10 games since returning to the top flight with just one of these goals being scored by a striker.

That came from 19-year-old Gianluca Caprari against Sampdoria and the Serie B champions are without a goal in their previous four games.

The best spell of Koke’s career undoubtedly came with Aris in Greece, during which time he scored 28 times in 132 league appearances.
