Pescara coach Giovanni Stroppa had little to salvage from his squad’s performance as the Delfini lost to Juventus 6-1 on Saturday night.

Fabio Quagliarella’s hat-trick and goals from Arturo Vidal, Sebastian Giovinco, and Kwadwo Asamoah consigned Pescara to their seventh loss of the season after a forgettable performance.

“We were ball watching the first ten minutes and then there was little fight for the ball. It is difficult to comment after a 6-1 defeat even if, at times, it was a good performance in the first half.

“I was told that I was arguing too vehemently, even though all I did was extend my arms without offending anyone. We are here talking about this every week. Ask the club.”

Stroppa was then asked about his future at the club and seemed to become agitated as the rumours of his departure have grown in the past few weeks.

“I will continue to work and I will not add anything else. I am convinced about the work I am doing here, I have no doubts on my side. ”
