The Rossoneri see the 23-year-old as an ideal signing for the club given his wealth of experience despite his young age, according to calcionews24.com.
He is also tactically versatile, capable of playing as an attacking midfielder while also comfortably slotting in as a striker.
A graduate of Ajax’s famous youth system, along with his brother Luuk de Jong, Siem has gone on to make 130 appearances for the Dutch side while contributing 44 goals.
He is valued at close to €7 million, though it remains to be seen whether Ajax are willing to let him leave after ensuring Europa League football after finishing third in Group D of the Champions League.
