Arsenal Join AC Milan in Race to Sign Matri

Alessandro Matri’s future seems to be far from Juventus as AC Milan have been joined by Arsenal in their pursuit for the striker.

The 28-year-old recently scored a brace against Cagliari to help the Bianconeri extend their lead atop the Serie A standings, but his diminished playing time could see him leave the club in January.

AC Milan are in need of a striker as Brazilian duo Robinho and Pato look set for moves back to Brazil.

They have been joined by Arsene Wenger as Arsenal look to change their attacking options with Marouane Chamakh and Andrei Arshavin set for the exit doors.

Matri’s contract with Juve expires in 2017 but it is hard to imagine that the Lombardy native will stay at the club until that date.
