Botafogo officially deny Seedorf rumours

Botafogo have officially denied rumours that Clarence Seedorf could make a return to AC Milan.

The 36-year-old arrived at the Brazilian side in the summer on a free transfer from the Rossoneri.

According to recent reports, there was speculation that the Dutchman would make a return to his former club.

However, Botafogo have denied these claims on their official twitter page.

“There is not the slightest possibility that Seedorf will not respect his contract,” wrote the club from Rio de Janeiro.

“The player, as well as the rest of the squad, will be present on January 4 to start the preparations for the upcoming season.”

The squad added that Seedorf had been in Italy recently in order to meet with old friends.
