Siena’s new coach Giuseppe Iachini is confident that the Robur will avoid relegation this season.
Serse Cosmi was sacked after the club’s Sunday afternoon defeat to Fiorentina and replaced by the ex-Brescia boss.
The 48-year-old said on the club’s official website that the team has the ability to stay up and he will do his utmost to be worth the confidence shown to him by the Tuscan club.
“I want to thank the club for their confidence and I will repay them every day with my commitment to the team,” the new coach stated.
“There is great promise here. And with hard work and enthusiasm we can stay in Serie A.”
The former Fiorentina midfielder has previously managed teams such as Chievo, Brescia and Sampdoria in Serie A and Serie B, respectively.
