Luca Marrone has been linked with a move away from Juventus again with Palermo reportedly interested in securing a loan deal.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Palermo sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco has stated his intent to strengthen the club’s midfield in the January transfer window and the Bianconeri midfielder is the number one target.

The 22-year-old has only made four appearances this season in Serie A for the league leaders and has attracted a number of clubs in the bottom half of the table.

Udinese, Genoa and Atalanta are all thought to be interested in the Juve youth product.

A spanner in the works to any potential move is Juve manager Antonio Conte who is thought to be against a loan move half way through the season despite the players limited time on the field.

Marrone had a loan spell with Siena in the 2010/11 campaign, making 19 appearances, to help them gain promotion to Serie A as Serie B Runners-up under the management of Antonio Conte.
