Parma again kept up their unbeaten run at home by beating Cagliari 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Ennio Tardini.

Marco Sau had put the visitors ahead after 20 minutes before Ishak Belfodil leveled the scores just one minute later before Jonathan Biabiany and Jaime Valdes made sure of the win in the second half as well as another for the Frenchman.

A low-key opening to the contest burst into life on the 20 minute mark when a Nene pass found Sau inside the area and with the home defence caught napping, he coolly clipped the ball home.

However, that lead lasted just one minute before Belfodil equalised for the Crociati when he headed a Valdes cross beyond a despairing Michael Agazzi.

Those were the only chances to speak of in the opening 45 minutes but after the restart when Agazzi diverted a Belfodil cross into the path of Biabiany and the Frenchman was left with an easy finish.

Radja Nainggolan then went close for the visitors before Roberto Donadoni’s men were awarded what seemed a soft penalty for an Agazzi ‘foul’ on Marco Parolo.

Valdes made no mistake with the resulting kick although they were not done there as Belfodil pounced in the final minute to grab his fifth of the season with a fine goal sneaking around the back.

That win moves Parma into the top half of the table.
