Roma have tabled a €7m bid to Eintracht Frankfurt in a bid to sign defender Sebastian Jung, according to Radio Mana Mana Sport.

The 22-year-old was watched by Roma officials during their game against Mainz on Tuesday night.

While there is no news on whether or not the German side have accepted the bid, it is believed that the Giallorossi have offered an initial €2.5m for a loan deal and then will pay €4.7m to purchase him permanently.

Jung is also believed to be very enthusiastic about moving to the Italian capital and would look forward to playing under Zdenek Zeman.

Inter came close to signing the player during the summer but the deal did not go ahead while Hamburg are also interested in signing him.

He has played 15 games this season and is contracted with the Bundesliga side until 2014.
