Arsenal offer Napoli €1 million to take striker on loan

Arsenal have reportedly offered to take Napoli striker Eduardo Vargas on loan for the rest of the season.

The 23-year-old Chilean has failed to settle in Naples since his move last January and looks set to be on his way out of the San Paolo during the current transfer window.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal have enquired about the services of the young forward and offered €1 million to secure a loan move with view to a permanent deal in the summer.

It did look as if Vargas would be moving to Brazil with Sao Paolo, but interest from the Premier League side has put that move into doubt.

However a source from the Brazilian side has said ‘the player still prefers us [Sao Paolo]’.
