Atalanta have confirmed that they have completed the signing of Michele Canini from Genoa.
The Nerazzurri revealed on their official club website that the 27-year old defender has returned to Bergamo for a second spell having previously been with the Atalanta Primavera team 10 years ago.
Canini completed a medical in Zingonia on Wednesday at lunch time.
Former La Dea vice-captain Thomas Manfredini has moved in the opposite direction as part of a swap deal, the 32-year old centre back had been with the Orobici for six seasons.
As yet no financial details have been released by either club however this may not be the end of transfer dealings between the two sides seeing as the Grifoni are also interested in signing Atalanta winger Ezequiel Schelotto.
