Juventus manager Antonio Conte praised his side’s performance along with an individual’s effort in their 4-0 win against Udinese on Saturday.

Andrea Pirlo, Claudio Marchisio, Giorgio Chiellini, Fabio Quagliarella, and Kwadwo Asamoah were among those unavailable on the weekend, but Paul Pogba scored a brace to clinch the victory.

“Even if we were playing with a lot of reserves, very few people noticed thanks to the fine performances from those who filled in,” said Conte.

“The lads are working seriously despite the many absentees. We have a concept of a team and not a group of individuals. We gave away five points in the last two games, but it went well tonight and we always had the situation under control.”

When asked if Paul Pogba reminds him of Frank Rijkaard, the tactician was quick to praise, but just as fast to remain level headed.

“They have similar characteristics, but Paul needs to grow up to become one of the best in the world in his role.”
