Siena midfielder Gaetano D’Agostino is looking forward to playing for Pescara after recently being signed by the squad, who are currently failing to maintain a good spot on the Serie A table.

The 30-year-old expressed his positive feelings toward the transfer in an interview with Calciomercato.it, and was moved by the determination of the Delfini when it came to signing him.

“I’m really happy about this move,” said D’Agostino.

“Other clubs wanted me, but none with the determination of Pescara. I accepted the move with great enthusiasm.”

All the agreements have been made, but the midfielder still hasn’t signed a contract, due to his manager suffering and illness.

“It’s all done, but my agent is ill right now which has delayed things,” he added. “I think I’ll be joining on loan until June. Then we’ll see what happens…”

Pescara currently sit in the lower half of the table and continue to lack consistency in their performances, but recently showed improvement when they impressively defeated Fiorentina earlier this month.
