New Juventus acquisition, Fernando Llorente, has spoken about his past and future in a recent press conference.

“I have signed for one of the best clubs in the world,” he declared proudly. Llorente has put pen to paper in a deal that will tie him to the northern Italian giants from July of 2013 until the end of June, 2017.

He represents the end of a long search for a big name striker to lead the attack for Juventus; the final ingredient for what should become a massive European force over the next few years.

Last season the 28-year-old Spanish International striker scored 30 goals in all competitions for his previous club, Athletic Bilbao, to add to his lifelong tally of 104 in 334 appearances – all for the same club.

His CV also includes a World Cup and a European Championship in his 21 international caps – with seven goals scored in that span.

Llorente told reporters, “I thank Athletic Bilbao and the supporters for all of the years we have spent together in which I have grown as a professional and made great accomplishments in the sport.

“Now I will move on to play for Juventus, one of the greatest clubs in the world. This is a dream come true for me and I must thank Juventus for their interest and for making this possible.”
