Manolo Gabbiadini has admitted to flattery at being pursued by Juventus, but believes that remaining at Bologna will be more beneficial for his development at this time.

The 21 year-old is co-owned by Juventus and Atalanta, moving to the Stadio Renato dall’Ara over the summer on season loan after spending the previous year with the Orobici.

It is well documented that the Bianconeri have been searching for another striker to bolster their attack for the second half of the season, and have now turned to Gabbiadini as a viable option.

“It is a pleasing to know that a big club like Juventus want you, but I want to play and find some consistency with Bologna,” the forward said of reigning champions’ interest.

Rossoblu tactician Stefano Pioli has echoed the former Cittadella man’s sentiments in a statement of his own.

“Manolo has to keep working hard as he is doing,” the coach noted. “He has the qualities to become an important player and he has found some space here.

“His growth with Bologna can be productive for all of us.”

Juventus have made a bevy of offers to the Felsinei with the hope of striking a deal, but the Emilia-Romagna-based club is unwilling to negotiate.

“Juventus have made numerous attempts, but Bologna will not let him go,” said agent Silvio Pagliari.

“Manolo is gaining some good experience because he’s playing quite a bit.

“The fact that Juventus have called is something to be proud of. The fact that their directors have been so insistent is a factor that pleases me and the player.”
