Juan Fernando Quintero has admitted his desire to join Internazionale after his performances for Pescara have brought a string of admirers, including Manchester United.

The Colombian midfielder has been a revelation this season and many of Europe’s top clubs are said to be keeping an eye on the 19-year-old.

When asked by the Gazzetta dello Sport  about a potential move to Manchester United, Quintero replied: “United? No, I like Inter.”

“I prefer the Nerazzurri because they have a lot of South Americans at the club. And I’m happy in Italy.

“Saying that, it is clear that I would not turn down other strong teams because I’m ambitious: Manchester, Milan, Juventus…

“I’ll decide with my family and with my agent.”

The creative midfielder, who is currently on loan from Atletico Nacional looks set to join Pescara permanently as they are likely to activate their clause to sign the player outright.  It is assumed they would then sell the player on, commanding a fee of approximately €10m.

“I don’t know if I am worth that.  I still need to learn and work hard.  I need to improve as a player,” he added.

Quintero has made 14 appearances in Serie A, scoring one goal.
