Udinese boss Francesco Guidolin has showed joy and satisfaction at reaching the milestone of 500 matches as a manager in Serie A.
The former Hellas Verona midfielder made his Serie A coaching debut in 1993 at the helm of Atalanta, and has admitted to feeling honored at having achieved such a numerical feat.
“I am excited and very proud,” Guidolin told reporters. “To be alongside some of the great names is a real honour.
“I am extremely happy – it is probably one of the most important moments in my career.
“I am pleased with everything I have done.”
The Veneto-born tactician has been known for getting the most out of his sides throughout his career, most notably in guiding Vicenza to a Coppa Italia win in 1997 and bringing current club Udinese to the Champions League qualifying round each of the past two seasons.
