It has been revealed that Roma coach Zdenek Zeman will remain on the bench at the Olimpico after a meeting with club officials today, according to Gianlucadimarzio.com.

The meeting between the Czech tactician and the club directors was due to take place yesterday but was instead pushed back to this morning and it has been decided at it that Zeman will not be sacked.

Rumours surrounding his future had been rife following the 3-3 draw with Bologna over the weekend with some suggesting that he had to win at Cagliari to save his job while other rumours said he would not even make it to that game and be replaced with Alberto De Rossi, youth team coach.

At the meeting, the decision surrounding the former Pescara man’s future was taken immediately after it was agreed that both he and the club agree on most points and as a result he will stay on at i Lupi.

Roma have scored more goals than any other side in Serie A this season but in spite of this sit in eighth place in the league title although they are also one game away from a Coppa Italia final.
