Pescara coach Cristiano Bergodi felt his side collapsed after going a goal down to Cagliari.
The Delfini were beaten 2-0 at the Stadio Adriatico on Sunday in Serie A, as result which saw them drop into the relegation zone.
“After a decent performance against Palermo, I thought we would do something more,” he told the press.
“The distraction on Marco Sau’s first goal broke the deadlock and we lost our shape.”
“There was a mental collapse, and I think the team is suffering from this rather than from a physical point of view.
“It should be borne in mind that in this Pescara has a lot of young players and many foreigners, and this is their first experience in Italian football.”
