Inter comfortably made it into the next round of the Europa League with 3-0 win at the Stadionul Dr. Constantin R?dulescu in Romania.

The Nerazzurri were two goals up from the first leg at the San Siro, and a double from Fredy Guarin, plus a late Marco Benassi effort were enough to secure qualification to the round of 16.

It was the home side who had the first real opportunity but his curling shot went just wide.

Inter though had a chance of their own when Antonio Cassano slipped Esteban Cambiasso through, but the Argentinian smashed the ball high over the bar.

However, it wasn’t long before Andrea Stramaccioni’s men took the lead. Rodrigo Palacio rolled the ball across from the right hand side into the path of Guarin, who was unmarked, and the Colombian easily slotted home.

As is now customary, Inter played the rest of the half on the counter-attack, and got their just rewards just before half time.

Mario Felgueiras in the Cluj goal spilled the ball into the path of Ricky Alvarez, after Guarin looked to have overran it, and the Argentinian passed the ball back to his teammate who again had an easy finish.

Samir Handanovic made a good save after a Rui Pedro was deflected off Cambiasso, before Ioan Hora volleyed directly at the goalkeeper when it seemed easier to score.

Cluj once more went close as Hora followed up a Kapetanos shot, but Alvaro Pereira got in the way of the shot.

But the tie was put beyond any doubt when Benassi poked past the goalkeeper after an excellent through ball from Cassano.

Cluj did hit the crossbar in stoppage time, but Inter were deserved winners.

That result means the Italian side will now play Tottenham Hotspur in the next round of the competition.
