Following the death of Sampdoria president Riccardo Garrone last month, his son Edoardo has been named as his predecessor today.
Edoardo was previously the vice-president at the Blucerchiati to his father and assisted him, especially during his illness in the past few years.
He is the 16 president of the Marassi club having made it official this morning.
There has also been a board reshuffle with Monica Mondini and Fabrizio Parodi while Paolo Lanzoni has taken over as director, a role he previously held in 2002.
