Inter reach agreement to sign former Aston Villa striker

Inter are set to complete the signing of, former Aston Villa man, John Carew on Tuesday, with the striker arriving on a free transfer.

The Nerazzurri are looking for a replacement striker as Diego Milito is out for the season with a knee injury.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have reached an agreement with the player with the Norwegian and and he will arrive in Milan later today to complete a medical.

It is thought he will sign a deal until the end of the season.

Carew is no stranger to Italian football as he had a spell with Roma between 2003 and 2004, scoring seven times in 27 games.
