Inter youngster Felice Natalino undergoes emergency heart surgery

Twenty-year-old full back Felice Natalino’s career hangs in the balance, as the under-21 international underwent emergency heart surgery.

The Nerazzurri defender has had no choice but to put his career on hold after tests found an irregular heartbeat, however a swift rehabilitation process saw the youngster back into training.

Two weeks ago, Natalino fell ill whilst at his hometown in Calabria, he was immediately rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery in Milan on Thursday.

Natalino is highly regarded in Milan and he has already made his debut at the tender age of 18 and had appeared for Inter twice and he also had a Champions League appearance under his belt.

“The doctors told us we need to wait for around six weeks until we’ll know if Felicecan return to playing football,” his father Pasquale told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“If he can, then it won’t be earlier than four or five months. What really counts is that my son is fine and we are happy.

“On Wednesday he didn’t want to miss a minute of the Under-21 game or CesarePrandelli’s Italy against Holland. Our joy is seeing him healthy. The rest, we’ll see.”
