Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri won’t decide whether he will be staying with the southern club until the end of the current season.

The Italian coach’s contract is up in June, whilst he previously has suggested he may take some time away from football after this term.

“The club want to renew our agreement, but I would prefer to calmly make a decision at the end of the season,” he said.

“If President Aurelio De Laurentiis can wait…

“I have a splendid relationship with the club, but now is the time to think about our targets on the pitch. I’m giving my best.”

Mazzari also commented on his side’s Europa League encounter with Viktoria Plzen on Thursday.

“I’ll make changes to the side, but I’ll field an excellent team,” the tactician added. “One which offers me guarantees.

“We want to go as far as possible in Europe and we really want to get through.”

“Viktoria Plzen are not a side to be underestimated. They’ve even beaten Atletico Madrid. It won’t be an easy game as they are a tough side.”

Prolific striker Edinson Cavani is expected to start against the Czechs, whilst January acquisition Rolando is set to make his debut for the Azzurri.
