Current Pescara and Colombian under-20 international Juan Fernando Quintero is setting his sights on a summer move to Inter, after the club expressed interest in the player.

The midfielder has impressed since joining the Serie A strugglers from Colombia’s Atletico Nacional. His performances have not gone unnoticed by some of the biggest clubs in Europe either.

Quintero was linked to England’s Manchester United in January, but quashed rumours when speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport, saying:

“United? No, I like Inter. I prefer the Nerazzurri because they have a lot of South Americans at the club. And I’m happy in Italy.”

Quintero is currently on loan with Pescara, who are expected to make the deal permanent prior to selling him on to another team. In 14 matches this season, Quintero has one goal and two assists.

Meanwhile, Inter may revive their interest in Bari’s Nicola Bellomo, a player the club nearly signed in January.

“My head is thinking of being here [Bari] and then in June, we will see. It is fine like this,” Bellomo told Corriere dello Sport.

The 21-year old midfielder has scored six times this season for Bari.
