Pescara coach Cristiano Bergodi admitted that the Delfini are in trouble after falling to Udinese 1-0 on Sunday.

The loss leaves the club tied for last in the standings, which lead to Bergodi’ sacking after the match. Cristian Bucchi is the rumoured replacement.

“We had to win this match, even if our live’s weren’t on the line as there is still a ways to go until the end of the championship,” he told Sky Sport.

“We must continue to think positively even if the situation is more difficult now. When I decide to send players out on the pitch I must keep in mind the training sessions and the behaviour throughout the week, even though I didn’t want to punish Weiss by keeping him out of the starting eleven.”

“We played a good match and there are two penalty claims that are pretty clear that could have changed the match. In the final 25 metres we struggle to and aren’t able to create great chances.”

“We are looking at several options to try and rotate our strikers to find the goals we are lacking.”
