AC Milan’s youth director Filippo Galli traveled to the Netherlands on Tuesday to study the youth model of AFC Ajax.

The club’s youth sector has enjoyed a revival and now looks to rival the rest of Europe’s youth academies.

“We visited FC Barcelona, and now we’re at Ajax. We will also visit Bayern Munich later to find out what we can add to our work,” Filippo Galli told MilanNews.it.

It’s understood that Milan’s youth setup will undergo dramatic changes in management in the seasons to come.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri will assume a more powerful position where every decision made will be approved by him.

A 4-3-3 formation will be integrated into the youth sectors to tactically prepare the youngsters for the first team.
