Liverpool’s Luis Suarez has hinted that he would be interested in moving to Juventus this summer.

The Uruguayan attacker would like to play Champions League football next season, and the Bianconeri, who are currently top in Serie A would certainly give him that opportunity.

“I am very happy at Liverpool, but you never know in football,” Suarez stated to Uruguayan reporters ahead of a World Cup qualifying clash with Paraguay.

“A player’s ambition is always there, [and] the ambition of playing in elite teams is always there.”

However, he was quick to praise his current team while making it clear that he would be open to offers from other ‘elite teams’.

“I’m in a world-class team, an elite team like Liverpool. [However], if another team comes around with more prospects of competing in international club competition games, which is willing to have me, they are welcome.”

Juventus have reportedly been interested in the 26-year-old attacker since last summer, and are reportedly gearing up to make an offer as they look to strengthen their attack ahead of next season’s league and Champions League campaigns.

Suarez, who joined the Reds from Ajax in January 2011, has been a key player for the Premier League side this season, scoring 29 goals in 40 appearances.
